Carbon offsets that you obtain through Eco Sierra Gorda´s Carbon Neutral Planet initiative are allowing small landholders in extreme poverty communities to participate in the global Voluntary Carbon Market by partnering with internationally recognized organizations that make the transaction and fieldwork possible. We provide profiles of the private citizens who benefit from the revolving carbon offset fund that retires tons of CO2 from the atmosphere into biomass, requiring approximately 2 trees per ton of carbon dioxide.
The environmental services such as carbon capture, water, soils, clean air and moderated climate are not free, they have a global and personal value and Eco Sierra Gorda seeks to transfer that value to the ecosystem services providers who improve livelihoods and nature in the Sierra Gorda World Biosphere, Querétaro, Mexico.
Your carbon offset will go towards planting two trees that are cared for and cultivated to absorb one ton of carbon dioxide, a living legacy of your pledge to reduce emissions and be part of Carbon Neutral Planet.
With your donation to offset carbon in one of the three categories of forest carbon, you will receive a carbon neutral pledge certificate in the name designated on-line.
